Carlisle’s house for sale for $3.134 million
Rick Carlisle has his University Park house up for sale.
But the Dallas Mavericks coach isn’t going anywhere. Except moving closer to his job.
"We have a house in University Park — it’s been a great place,’’ Carlisle said Wednesday. "But we’re in the process of downsizing and moving downtown, so our house is on the market.’’
Carlisle’s home is listed at $3.134 million.
"If you can find a buyer,’’ Carlisle said, "I might give you a piece of the action.’’
Carlisle has been with the Mavs since 2008 and is the franchise’s No. 2 all-time winningest coach with 328 victories — one win behind Don Nelson. Donnie Nelson, the Mavs’ president of basketball operations, said Carlisle basically is on par with one of the NBA’s most renowned coaches.
"Rick is our Jerry Sloan,’’ Donnie Nelson said. "I think he's one of the top coaches in the league if not the top coach.
"We're blessed and lucky to have him. He can be in Dallas as long as he wants to be."
