About the Mavs: Dallas clinched a playoff spot Tuesday with Oklahoma City’s 113-88 loss to San Antonio. The Mavericks lead eighth-seed New Orleans by 4 games and are close to clinching the No. 7 playoff seed with five games remaining. ... The last six weeks have not been kind to Dallas. Since defeating Toronto at home on Feb. 24, the Mavs are a paltry 7-11. That includes losses in six of their last eight games. ... The Mavs lost to the Suns twice in Phoenix — 124-115 on Dec. 23 and 98-92 on March 22. The Suns also beat the Mavs 118-106 on Dec. 5 in Dallas.
