The Mavs’ leading scorer (19.1 ppg) injured his right calf during Friday’s 94-76 loss at San Antonio. ... With a victory the Mavs will assure themselves of finishing the season with a winning record on the road. ... The Mavs are 13-1 in road games against Eastern Conference foes. This is Dallas’ final game of the season against a team from the East. ... After Sunday’s game the Mavs return home, but not to play any games. Because of a scheduling quirk, Dallas’ next game is Wednesday at Oklahoma City.

About the Pacers: Indiana is in a heated playoff race with four other teams. Just two games separate Miami, Boston, Brooklyn, Indiana and Charlotte in the race for the last two playoff spots in the East after Saturday. ... Hard times continue for the Pacers, who have lost seven of eight.
