After losing the season opener in San Antonio 101-100, the Mavs have beaten the Spurs twice in Dallas. In Rajon Rondo’s first game with the Mavs, Monta Ellis scored 38 points and Rondo had six points, seven rebounds, nine assists and two steals as Dallas clipped the Spurs 99-93 on Dec. 20. Ellis picked up 38 more points against the Spurs in Tuesday’s 101-94 victory. ... J.J. Barea will miss his third straight game with a sprained left ankle. ...
