DALLAS – Guard Devin Harris has improved so much since bruising his right hand last Thursday against Portland that he likely will play tonight when the Dallas Mavericks host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"He's doing better,’’ coach Rick Carlisle said after Tuesday’s shootaround at American Airlines Center. "I think there’s a chance he'll play (tonight).’’
Harris missed the last two games while dealing with his hand injury. And after firing up some jumpers Tuesday morning, he dashed off the court and declared himself a game-time decision for tonight’s contest.
Mainly one of the first players off the bench, Harris provides the Mavs with veteran leadership and a player who can play both guard positions with precision.

"Well, he's one of our best competitors, high energy,’’ Carlisle said. "He’s always going hard, so when he's gone we miss him.’’
