PORTLAND, Ore. – Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle said he expects center Tyson Chandler to play tonight when his team faces the Portland Trail Blazers at 9:30 at the Moda Center.
Chandler missed the previous two games after his suffered a left hip flexor during the Feb. 24 game against the Toronto Raptors.
Meanwhile, Carlisle said small forward Chandler Parsons will not only miss tonight’s game against the Blazers, but will also miss Friday’s contest in Oakland against the Golden State Warriors.
Chandler averages 10.6 points and a team-high 11.7 rebounds per game and is the enforcer in the middle who helps erases a lot of the shabby defense that’s played on the perimeter.

On the chances of him playing tonight, Chandler said: "I believe I’m good, but we’ll see. I’m leaning (towards playing).’’
As far as Parsons goes, the sprain and bone bruise to his left ankle which he sustained in a Feb. 20 game against Houston just isn’t healing fast enough for the Mavs’ liking.
"It’s been steady (progress), but it hasn’t been lightning fast,’’ Carlisle said. "We just got to be mindful of making sure that we don’t have any setbacks with him, but he’s doing well.’’
Parsons is averaging 15.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this season.
