About the Mavericks: This starts a three-game road trip for the Mavericks. It’s also the first leg of a back-to-back for Dallas as the Mavericks play at Golden State on Friday before ending the trip Sunday at the Los Angeles Lakers. ... The Mavericks were blown out in Portland 108-87 on Nov. 6, the fifth game of the season. It remains the worst loss of the season for the Mavericks ... The Mavericks beat the Blazers 111-101 in overtime on Feb. 7 in Dallas. Portland led 94-83 with less than 2 minutes left before the Mavericks rallied to force overtime on a Dirk Nowitzki 3-pointer with 20 seconds left. ... The Mavericks snapped a two-game losing streak Monday when they defeated New Orleans 102-93. Monta Ellis led the Mavericks with 20 points and Rajon Rondo added 19 points. ... Center Tyson Chandler (hip) is listed as probable, while small forward Chandler Parsons (ankle) will sit out his sixth consecutive contest.

The Blazers have a terrific tandem of All-Stars in power forward LaMarcus Aldridge and point guard Damian Lillard.
