Dallas Mavericks point guard Deron Williams is a huge fan of Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.
So when Williams heard that Bryant has been saddled with yet another injury, he didn’t take the news too well. Bryant has a hairline fracture in a bone in his right knee.
“It’s been tough for him,’’ Williams said after Thursday morning’s practice at American Airlines Center. “It seems like whenever he gets ready to get healthy, and it’s just something.
“I can definitely relate to that. I wish him well.’’

Williams has battled a series of injuries in recent years, and is currently recovering from off-season hernia surgery. Bryant, meanwhile, injured his right knee on the second play of last Sunday’s win over the Chicago Bears.
“Hopefully he’s not out too long,’’ Williams said. “They’re saying two-to-three weeks.
“But you never know with things like that. I just hope he’s smart about it and comes back healthy and ready to play.’’
