NBA Global Games in London will have Tarrant County flavor
Indiana and Denver will meet in the NBA Global Games London 2017, the league announced.
That means the Pacers’ second-year forward Myles Turner, who graduated from Euless Trinity High School and played one season at the University of Texas, will be going against the Nuggets and guard Emmanuel Mudiay, who attended Grace Prep Academy in Arlington and Prime Prep in Dallas.
Both players had outstanding rookie seasons. Turner averaged 10.3 points and 5.5 rebounds. Mudiay, the subject of recent trade rumors, averaged 12.8 points and 5.5 assists.
The regular-season game will be played at The O2 on January 12, 2017. The O2 is the world’s most popular music and entertainment venue. Since opening in 2007, it has been visited by more than 60 million people
The game will mark both teams’ first trip to the U.K. and the league’s seventh regular-season game in London.
