Everything to know before the Texas Motor Speedway welcomes NASCAR to Fort Worth

The NASCAR Cup Series is making a pit stop in Fort Worth this weekend, and a series of races will take place at Texas Motor Speedway beginning on Friday.

Here’s how fans can get tickets and what to know before the event.

When do the races begin?

The first race, the SpeedyCash.com 250, begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 2, followed by the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, and the final race, the WÜRTH 400, at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4.


The first race is part of the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, followed by the XFINITY and NASCAR Cup Series.

How much are tickets?

Fans looking to attend the entire weekend can purchase a weekend pass for $238.15 for adults or $16.24 for kids 12 or under on the Texas Motor Speedway website.

Qualifying kids can attend Friday and Saturday’s races for free with a ticketed adult.

For individual races, the tickets start at $38.96 for the SpeedyCash.com 250, $44.50 for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 300 and $109 for the WÜRTH 400.

Non-racing events

The speedway will also host a barbecue competition during the weekend with categories in half chicken, pork spare ribs and brisket and competitors can register on the Texas Motor Speedway website.
