Public drag racing series begins June 19 at Texas Motor Speedway

Friday Night Drags opens June 19 at Texas Motor Speedway. The race track converts its pit road into an eighth-mile drag strip where car enthusiasts race their vehicles in a six-week amateur series.

Weekly and season champions will be crowned in seven divisions. Racing begins at 9 p.m. and gates open at 7. Cost is $20 to race, $10 for general admission and $5 for children 12 and under.
