Veteran truck driver Timothy Peters is OK after massive crash at TMS

Veteran NASCAR truck driver Timothy Peters walked away uninjured from a spectacular crash late in the winstaronlinegaming.com 400 on Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.

Peters’ truck flipped through the infield grass coming out of Turn 4 on the second-to-last lap. Peters got out of the truck under his own power and was treated and released from the infield care center shortly after the race.

Johnny Sauter and Austin Self also had their trucks involved in the late race wreck.

Peters returned to truck racing Friday for MDM Motorsports, driving the No. 99 Chevrolet. He lost his ride late last month when Red Horse Racing shut down.

Peters had a top-10 run going before the crash, but settled for 13th. Johnny Sauter and Austin Self were also involved in the late race wreck.

At the time of Peters’ wreck, race leaders Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe had already crossed the start/ finish line and the white flag had been waved. That meant the race finished under caution with Bell narrowly leading Briscoe.
