Rangers acquire Collegeville Heritage grad Kyle Kubitza

The Texas Rangers have acquired former Colleyville Heritage star Kyle Kubitza from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash considerations, the club announced Tuesday. Kubitza, an infielder, went on the Rangers’ 40-man roster and was optioned to Triple A Round Rock.

Kubitza, 25, batted .253 with two home runs and 19 RBIs with Triple A Salt Lake before being designated for assignment on Monday.
