Texas Rangers winter caravan making 14 stops, beginning Friday in Frisco

The Texas Rangers Winter Caravan is scheduled to make 12 stops at Academy Sports and Outdoors stores around Texas beginning Friday in Frisco.

Each stop will feature autograph sessions from select Rangers players, broadcasters and coaches. Friday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Frisco will include Keone Kela, Shawn Tolleson and Tanner Scheppers. Admission is free and autographs could be limited.

The caravan will also make stops at Dell Diamond in Round Rock on Jan. 14 and Dr Pepper Ballpark in Frisco on Jan. 30.

Tickets for the luncheon at Dell Diamond are available at the Round Rock Express ticket office, by calling 512-255-2255, or online at roundrockExpress.com. General admission is $40. Tables of eight are $315. Doors open at 11 a.m. for the event that begins at noon and includes an autograph session. Manager Jeff Banister, Shin-Soo Choo, Delino DeShields, Chris Gimenez, Derek Holland, Tom Grieve and Dave Raymond are scheduled to attend.

The stop at Dr Pepper Ballpark is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes a VIP autograph session and brunch in the JC Penney Club. Tickets are $50, which benefit the RoughRiders Foundation, and can be purchased at www.ridersbaseball.com. A free public autograph session is from noon to 1 p.m. Banister, Steve Buechele, Sam Freeman, Chi Chi Gonzalez, Keone Kela, Tom Wilhelmsen and others are scheduled to attend.
