Shin-Soo Choo feeling better at plate
Shin-Soo Choo started spring 0 for 12 before having hits in three consecutive games. He went 0 for 2 on Saturday and his average is sitting at .176.
But Choo isn’t too concerned about the early numbers.
“In spring training, I try to see the most pitches I can,” he said. “Sometimes when I make two strikes and take a two-strike approach, I see a lot of off-speed.”
Choo said some springs he needs as many as 70 at-bats to get his timing down, while others he only needs 30 or 40. For now, he’s pleased that he’s hitting the ball in the middle of the park.
“Every game I play, it’s getting better,” Choo said.
