Washington pleased with ‘perfect’ groundball session

Apparently nothing puts manager Ron Washington in a better mood than a good groundball session. Washington had high energy during his morning media session on Wednesday after hitting grounders to a group of infielders including Jurickson Profar, Adam Rosales, Brent Lillibridge, Rougned Odor and Luis Sardinas.

“They put on a show,” Washington said. “I must have hit about a thousand balls this morning and not one hit the ground. Everything I hit was in a glove. Everything.”

Washington said he couldn’t recall having a perfect session like that previously in his coaching career.
