Where does Ray Davis rank among MLB’s most popular owners?
While some fans are clamoring for their owners to sell their favorite MLB teams, Rangers owner Ray Davis is not among them.
A survey completed by Online Casinos Canada found that Davis was the fifth-most liked owner in the MLB. Davis finished with an average rating of 7.6/10, which was above the 6/10 average.
The report surveyed over 4,000 MLB fans and questioned them on their owner’s spending habits, long-term visions and overall strengths and weaknesses.
A majority (84%) of Rangers fans said that Davis spends wisely, and an average of seven of ten fans believe in Davis’ long term vision for the team. Fans also believe Davis’ biggest strength is his leadership and communication skills.
The Rangers’ recent success seems to be strong catalyst for this sentiment. Davis bought the Rangers back in 2010 and was behind the signings of high-profile free agents Cory Seager, Marcus Semien and Jacob deGrom among others which lead to their first World Series Championship in 2023.
Additionally, there is optimism surrounding the long-term future of the Rangers with young talent in Wyatt Langford, Evan Carter and Josh Jung.
The Rangers are currently two games below .500 with a 27-29 record and sit third in the AL West.
