MLB announces participants in celebrity softball game headlined by Dallas Cowboys legends
The MLB announced the initial list of participants in the 2024 Celebrity Softball game which will take place as apart of all-star game festivities.
The list of those playing is headlined by stars from the sports and entertainment industry including three former Dallas Cowboys.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, former All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant and Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens will compete.
Sanders played five years with the Dallas Cowboys helping them win two Super Bowls in 1994 and ‘95. Bryant played eight of his nine NFL seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and is the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown catches.
Owens played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2006-’08 and has the ninth most touchdown receptions in team history.
There are also celebrities with ties to Dallas-Fort Worth.
Philadelphia 76ers point guard and Dallas native, Tyrese Maxey will participate as well as television star Gina Rodriguez and Tyler Toney, a Prosper native, from Dude Perfect.
Baseball Hall of Famer and World Series champion Pedro Martinez will also be in the lineup.
The game will be played on June 13 at Globe Life Field alongside the MLB All-Star Futures game and skill showcase as a part of All-Star Saturday with gates opening at 1 p.m.
Tickets for All-Star Saturday can be bought for $35 on the MLB’s website.
