Here’s what the weather will be like for the Texas Rangers World Series parade Friday

When the Texas Rangers and their fans gather at Choctaw Stadium for a “World Series Victory Parade” Friday, the temperature in Arlington will be in the mid 70s with a southerly breeze of 10-15 mph, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

“Not a bad forecast for those outdoor enthusiasts and just being out of the house for some fresh air,” said Marty Mayeaux, senior forecaster at the NWS Fort Worth office.

The fair weather could not have come at a better time. North Texas began the week with freeze warnings across much of Dallas-Fort Worth. Temperatures were in the low 30s, with many areas seeing its first freeze of the year.

By the first pitch in game 4 of the 2023 World Series at Chase Field in Phoenix, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, temperatures around the DFW area had dropped to near freezing. Texas fans participating in Halloween trick-or-treat fun set up televisions on their driveways to catch the Rangers beat Arizona, 11-7 — with many firing up propane firepits to stay warm.

Roughly 20,000 fans erupted in celebration at a watch party at Globe Life Field in Arlington Wednesday as the Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-0 to win their first World Series in franchise history.

Rangers fans have waited 61 years to watch a parade celebrate a World Series title. It is finally going to happen. The parade will commence at 12:15 p.m., starting near home plate and loop its way west and northbound around Choctaw Stadium. A ceremony will be held in the North Plaza outside Globe Life Field adjacent to Texas Live!.

It will warm up as we head into the weekend with highs in the low 80s, the NWS says.

“Temperatures will climb to 5 to 10 degrees above normal by Sunday, with afternoon highs in the 75 to 80 degree range,” Mayeaux said. .
