Texas Rangers franchise legend Ian Kinsler threw out the first pitch in game 3 of the American League Championship Series in a team Israel uniform to show support for the country amid increasing violence in the region.

Kinsler has said that he is very proud of his Jewish heritage in the past and has represented the country multiple times on the world stage.

Kinsler managed team Israel at the 2023 World Baseball Classic and played for the country during the 2020 Olympics averaging .222 with a home run.
