Texas Rangers player named the American League Rookie of the Month after superb start
Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung was named the American League Rookie of the Month for April.
Jung hit .270 with 6 home runs and 21 RBI over 26 games in April. His home run and RBI totals are both records for a Rangers rookie in the month of April.
Jung lead all AL rookies in multiple offensive categories over the month of April including runs, RBIs, hits, slugging percentage and home runs.
The last Rangers player to be recognized before Jung was Adolis Garcia who won the award in May of 2021.
According to Fanduel, Jung has the fourth-best chance to win AL Rookie of the Year.
