Adolis Garcia was named the MLB Player of the Week for the week of April 22.

The Texas Rangers outfielder had a historic game against the Oakland Athletics on Saturday going 5-for-5 with three home runs, eight RBIs and five runs scored.

Garcia became the second player in MLB history with five extra-base hits and eight RBIs in a game with the other being former Ranger Josh Hamilton.

Garcia hit .400 with four home runs and 14 RBIs during the week.

Garcia leads the MLB in RBIs with 28 and set the club record for most RBIs in the first 20 games of a season.
