The Texas Rangers are 6-4 in their first ten games of the season. Where do national experts rank the Rangers at this point in the MLB season?

Most pundits are still unsure about the new look Rangers.

Rowan Kavner, Fox Sports: One result of the rotation spending? Dane Dunning and Cole Ragans are now in the bullpen and haven’t allowed an earned run in a combined seven appearances. Ragans has one more win as a reliever this year than he did in nine starts last year. The Rangers’ bullpen has a 1.89 ERA. Rangers Rank: No. 16

Alyson Footer, MLB.com: Rangers Rank: No. 18

Matt Snyder, CBS Sports: Early boom or bust offense! In their four losses, the Rangers scored just five total runs. In their five wins, they’ve averaged 8.4 runs per game (and one of those, a 2-1 win, is dragging the number way down and belongs in the “bust” category for the offense). Rangers Rank: No. 19

Tim Boyle, Fansided: This team is still a mystery. The Texas Rangers assembled a pretty good offense last year only for it to underachieve. They did the same with the rotation this season. It hasn’t gotten off to a great start, but there are some hopeful signs. There have been some promising outings from the relievers. Rangers Rank: No. 18

Rachael Millanta, BetMGM: The Rangers face the Royals and Astros this week, so it’s a mixed bag to test Texas. Rangers Rank: No.17

Staff, San Diego Union-Tribune: Hit and miss so far for Jacob deGrom, who has 18 strikeouts in his first 9 2/3 innings with the Rangers (5.59 ERA): One poor start (3 2/3 IP, 5 ER) and 11 punchouts in a dominant six innings (2 ER) in the other. Rangers Rank: No. 10

Gabe Lacques, USA Today: Rangers Rank: No. 19

Jesse Rogers, ESPN: The back end of the Rangers’ rotation already seems better than it was last year. There’s no reason Bruce Bochy’s squad can’t contend for a wild card this season. Some unexpected performances — rookie Josh Jung is off to a good start — will help the Rangers’ cause. Rangers Rank: No. 13

Joel Reuter, Bleacher Report: The Rangers began the year with a three-game sweep of the Phillies, but they crashed back to earth last week with series losses to the Orioles and Cubs while getting shut out twice. Corey Seager and Nathaniel Lowe are the only regulars with an OPS+ above 100, and Texas’ .306 on-base percentage ranks 25th in the majors. Rangers Rank: No. 13
