The Los Angeles polished off a dominating three-game sweep Sunday with a 12-6 win to pin the sixth consecutive home loss on the Texas Rangers. The Angels again beat up Texas pitching, this time starter Colby Lewis, who was knocked from the game after the fourth inning.

Pitching: The Angels jumped on Lewis early and didn’t let up. They scored three in the first, and two more in both the second and third to lead 7-1 after three innings. Lewis allowed 10 hits in the first three innings. The Angels continued to tack on runs and led 9-1 in the fifth with two on and no outs. Anthony Ranaudo came in, walked a batter, got an out and allowed a three-run homer to Kole Calhoun. Lewis was charged with 10 runs on 12 hits and two walks in four innings. Ranaudo allowed two runs on two hits and a walk in four innings of relief. Tanner Scheppers pitched the ninth.

Hitting: Prince Fielder hit his 13th homer in the first inning to pull the Rangers to within 3-1, but left-hander C.J. Wilson held Texas hitless over the next three innings. Adam Rosales and Robinson Chirinos collected consecutive singles with one out in the fifth but were stranded. Texas scored two runs each in the sixth and seventh to pull to within 12-5. Adrian Beltre and Mitch Moreland each doubled followed by Elvis Andrus’ single in the sixth. Rougned Odor’s two-run homer in the seventh made it 12-5. Delino DeShields had two hits, including a triple in the ninth, in his first game back since going on the disabled list June 15. DeShields scored on Odor’s sacrifice fly to left to make it 12-6.

Notable: Fielder collected his major league-leading 36th multi-hit game ... the Angels had at least 15 hits in each of the three games.
