Watch Mariners’ Daniel Vogelbach blast the second-longest home run at Globe Life Field
Seattle Mariners slugger Daniel Vogelbach saw Austin Nola drive a Jordan Lyles curveball 424 feet for a home run Wednesday and raised him 17 feet.
Vogelbach’s 441-foot, two-run homer off a fastball in the second inning against the Texas Rangers helped the Mariners score four in the inning at Globe Life Field.
It’s the 27-year-old’s second homer this season and is tied for the 29th longest of the season. He hit 30 in his first full season in 2019.
It’s the second-longest homer at Globe Life Field so far. The Angels’ Mike Trout hit one 444 feet on Aug. 7. Joey Gallo has the longest for the Rangers at 437 feet.
The Mariners led 4-0 through three innings Wednesday.
