Globe Life Field isn’t open for baseball, but fans can still go inside. Here’s how.
For those who haven’t passed through Arlington for some time while sheltering in place, Globe Life Field is still standing.
For those who want to see the new ballpark first-hand, the Texas Rangers have a deal for you.
First Look Tours of the new $1.2 billion facility, topped by a retractable roof, are scheduled to begin June 1 and run on select days through July. Advance tickets go on sale Wednesday, but must be purchased online.
The Rangers said that CDC safety protocols amid the coronavirus pandemic will be strictly enforced. Group sizes will be limited to 10.
Each ticket — adults (ages 15-64), $25; children (4-14), $15 — comes with a Globe Life Field face covering, and $5 from each ticket will go to help COVID-19 relief efforts via the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
All group tours had been suspended in March.
The Rangers are also planning to open the new Grand Slam Gift Shop on May 28. The public entrance is located adjacent to Lot B on the north side of Globe Life Field.
