Tim McGraw to play Texas Rangers foundation benefit at Globe Life Field

Country music star Tim McGraw will headline the Texas Rangers’ Baseball Foundation TEX Gala at Globe Life Field on April 23.

The foundation, which has been “dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in the community, especially children, the military, and first responders and their families,” started in 1992 and is supported by, among others, team owners, private donors and players.

The foundation is closing out an endowment, according to a press release, that aims to provide the necessary resources to continue the mission in perpetuity.

“One of the Texas Rangers’ major goals is being a committed community partner, and we have been honored to help so many individuals for more than 25 years,” foundation chairman and Rangers executive Neil Leibman said in the release.

The event will include appearances by the entire Rangers team with a red-carpet arrival, a live auction and silent auction with hundreds of items, and behind-the-scenes Rangers team experiences. Dinner and McGaw’s concert will take place on the field.
