Homers, Nick Martinez push Rangers to 10-1 victory

Pitching: Nick Martinez dazzled in his season debut, allowing only four singles in seven scoreless innings to a lineup that had scored 10 runs a night earlier. After Oakland put runners at first and second with one out in the seventh, Martinez quickly got two flyouts to end his day. ... The A’s scored in the eighth against Keone Kela, who needed 24 pitches to get three outs.

Hitting: The Rangers found their power stroke, as Mitch Moreland, Shin-Soo Choo, Adrian Beltre and Rougned Odor hit the club’s first homers of the season. ... Beltre singled in his third at-bat to break and 0-for-13 start to the season, and Odor’s homer was his first hit after an 0-for-10 start.

Notable: The A’s recorded a wild double play to end the first inning, with the help of video review. When all was said and done, the double play was scored 5-4-2-5-2-6. … Odor was hit by pitch for the third time this season, the most in the major leagues.
