Rangers collect 18 hits, including three homers, in win over Angels

Pitching: Right-hander Nick Tepesch allowed three runs on four hits in five innings, including a solo homer to Albert Pujols in the fourth. Tepesch walked one and struck out one. Jon Edwards started the sixth and allowed a two-out double by C.J. Cron before being replaced by lefty Alex Claudio. Grant Green singled to score Cron and another run scored on a fielding error before Claudio ended the inning with a strikeout. Roman Mendez allowed a hit and struck out one in the seventh. Tanner Scheppers allowed two unearned runs on three hits in the eighth. Closer Neftali Feliz walked the leadoff batter, surrendered two singles and a run, and balked before forcing a groundout to end the game.

Hitting: Rougned Odor was 3 for 3 with a walk and a two runs scored. Adam Rosales homered and doubled and drove in three runs. Elvis Andrus homered in the fifth, his first of the spring. Prince Fielder had two infield singles, including a bunt single toward third to thwart the Angels’ shift to lead off the second inning. Carlos Peguero and Carlos Corporan both went 1 for 4 and each had two strikeouts. Thomas Field hit a three-run homer in the seventh in his only at-bat of the game.

Notable: Rosales started the game at third and moved to first in the sixth ... He fell over the Rangers’ dugout railing going for a foul ball in the sixth.
