Strong debuts from trio lead Rangers’ split squad sweep

Pitching: Ross Ohlendorf struck out five consecutive Cubs hitters and worked two perfect innings in his spring debut. David Martinez walked one and struck out three in two hitless innings. Jon Edwards struck out two in a perfect inning. Against the Indians, Anthony Bass, Spencer Patton and Kyuji Fujikawa combined to allow two hits in four innings. Jerad Eickhoff was touched for four runs (three earned) on six hits in 1 1/3 innings.

Hitting: Against the Indians, Elvis Andrus singled twice with an RBI in his spring debut. Prince Fielder had three RBIs, including a two-run homer, his first of the spring. Jared Hoying had a two-run homer in the second. Rougned Odor doubled for the second consecutive game. Mitch Moreland homered to left on a full count in his first at-bat of the spring. Joey Gallo homered to right on a 1-2 pitch in the third. Ryan Rua had two hits, including a double in the third.

Notable: Isiah Kiner-Falefa drove in Hanser Alberto with a single to right-center in the bottom of the ninth to beat the Indians.
