Lewis rocked as A’s beat Rangers 7-1

AP

Colby Lewis allowed seven runs in the second inning Sunday, and the Texas Rangers fell into a tie for home-field advantage in the playoffs after a 7-1 loss to the Oakland Athletics.

Lewis will have one more start before the American League Division Series begins. He is lined up to start the third game, but his first three starts off the disabled list haven’t been ideal.

The Rangers have lost all three starts, though he allowed three runs in 5 1/3 innings in each of the first two.

Stephen Vogt had a three-run double in the inning, and Ryon Healy followed with a two-run homer.

The Rangers are tied for the best record in the AL with the Boston Red Sox, who have won 11 consecutive games.
