Hamels roughed up as Mariners rout Rangers
Cole Hamels allowed seven runs in only 1 2/3 innings Monday, and a pair of September call-ups allowed six runs in the sixth inning as the Seattle Mariners pulled away for a 14-6 victory over the Texas Rangers.
Nomar Mazara and Rougned Odor hit home runs for the Rangers, who scored six runs against Felix Hernandez for a second straight start. Mazara’s homer, a three-run shot, was his 17th. Odor solo blast was his 30th, making him on the third second baseman in franchise history with a 30-homer season.

Carlos Beltran followed with an infield single two batters later, went to second on a walk to Adrian Beltre and scored on a Rougned Odor single. Jonathan Lucroy then knocked in Beltre, who scored a run for the 11th second game to tie the club record. ... Odor provided the next Rangers run with a homer to start the sixth. It was his 30th of the season, making him one of six players since 2000 to hit 30 homers in his age 22 season. The others: Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Giancarlo Stanton, Bryce Harper, Manny Machado and Mike Trout.
