LPGA Shootout qualifying event will be in Irving

The LPGA Volunteers of America Texas Shootout qualifying tournament will be held Wednesday at Las Colinas Country Club in Irving.

Forty-four high school golfers and 40 collegiate golfers will compete for four spots in the LPGA Shootout on April 26-May 1.

College tee times are from 8 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. High School tee times are from 10:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.

In the college division, there will be players from Texas, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Houston,

Oklahoma State, Arkansas, SMU and Alabama.
