The PGA Tour has officially restarted at Fort Worth’s Colonial Country Club

The PGA Tour season is officially back.

Colleyville resident and Colonial member Ryan Palmer got the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge at 6:50 a.m. It was a unique scene as golf returns with no fans.

PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan was on hand at the first tee, saying: “It’s a beautiful day.”

Colonial Country Club president Kip Adams introduced the first group. Palmer then proceeded to hit a 297-yard drive into the left rough. Palmer parred the opening hole.

Palmer is paired with PGA Tour veterans Brian Harman and Bill Haas.

Going off No. 10 with the first tee time were TCU products Tom Hoge and J.J. Henry.

Tournament rounds are being played today through Sunday. Kevin Na is the defending champion, winning the 2019 tournament with a score of 13-under 267.
