One of the top players in the world just committed to play in the Charles Schwab Challenge

The Colonial has added more star power to its field.

Justin Thomas, the No. 5 player in the world, has committed to play in the Charles Schwab Challenge, the tournament announced Wednesday.

It will make Thomas’ debut in Fort Worth, and adds to a list of stars who have already committed such as defending champion Justin Rose, hometown favorite Jordan Spieth and England’s Tommy Fleetwood.

In all, Colonial has already secured commitments from five of the Top 11 players in the world — Rose (2), Thomas (5), Xander Schauffele (8), Jon Rahm (10) and Fleetwood (11).

This year’s Colonial is scheduled for the week of May 20-26.

Thomas is a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour, including a major championship (2017 PGA).

One-day tickets for any day, Wednesday through Sunday, are $50 each. Grounds passes good for the entire week cost $125.
