Third-round play going at Byron Nelson after long delay

Third-round play has begun at the rain-delayed AT&T Byron Nelson, with three golfers sharing the lead after 36 holes: Jon Curran, Steven Bowditch and Jimmy Walker, a two-time winner on the PGA Tour this season.

All three stand at 9-under par for the tournament heading into today’s 3:10 p.m. tee time at the Four Seasons Resort. A total of 87 players made the cut of 1-under par or better at the conclusion of this morning’s rain-delayed second round.

Among the notable third-round tee times at the TPC Las Colinas course includes a 2:40 p.m. start for Masters champion Jordan Spieth, the Dallas resident and gallery favorite who is three strokes off the lead at 6-under. Playing the same group with Spieth are Hunter Mahan (7-under) and Jonathan Randolph (7-under).

Colleyville resident Ryan Palmer (8-under) is one stroke off the lead in a threesome that begins play at 3 p.m. Palmer will be joined by Tony Finau and Cameron Percy.

Among the golfers who missed the 36-hole cut is Brendon Todd, the defending champion.
