Watch golf star Jordan Spieth make this girl's 'wish' come true
Jordan Spieth has become a household name with three major championships by the age of 24.
Now the North Texas golf sensation is showing a different side by participating in ESPN’s "My Wish" series. Spieth's episode will debut on Sunday’s 9 a.m. SportsCenter on ESPN2.
Spieth made the wish of an 18-year-old from Tallahassee, Florida come true earlier this season at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Morgan Comer survived a rare liver disease at 10 months old, and then was diagnosed with cancer 14 years later. Her wish was to meet Spieth and he made it come true.
In a preview clip, Spieth is shown greeting Comer just before the famous No. 16 hole at TPC Scottsdale during the pro-am round.
"Most fun walk in golf," Spieth said.
Spieth’s pro-am partner, Green Bay Packers quarterback AaronRodgers, greets Comer as well. Comer even gets to caddie for Spieth.
"By far the best caddie I’ve had today," Spieth said, smiling as he was within earshot of his regular caddie Michael Greller.
"No question. No question. Probably ever."
Comer then tells Spieth about how her hair used to be long, blonde and straight, but it grew back brown and curly.
"Can you believe that?" Comer said.
"Really? You've got nice curls," Spieth said. "It’s awesome."
Spieth is the first athlete to be featured on this season's "My Wish" series. ESPN has been doing these profiles since 2006, partnering with Make-A-Wish to fulfill 63 sports-themed wishes for children with criticalillnesses.
Along with Spieth, others participating this season include Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald; NBA standout Jimmy Butler; and the New York Yankees.
