Roman Robledo put together rounds of 63-66 to finish 13-under-par and win medalist honors in Monday’s U.S. Open sectional qualifier at Lakewood Country Club in Dallas.

Robledo, Nick Flanagan (11-under) and amateur Walker Lee (10-under), a recent high school graduate who will be a freshman next fall at Texas A&M, captured the three available berths in the 2017 U.S. Open, June 15-18 at Erin Hills Golf Course in Hartford, Wisc.

Robledo, who played college golf at Houston, competes primarily on the Mackenzie Tour, a developmental circuit for the Canadian PGA Tour. Flanagan plays primarily on the Web.com Tour, the PGA Tour’s developmental circuit.

Colleyville resident Ryan Palmer, a PGA Tour participant and Colonial Country Club member, won a three-man playoff for the first alternate spot out of the Dallas qualifier. Palmer posted rounds of 67-68 to finish at 7-under before outlasting Rockwall’s Edward Loar and Alvaro Ortiz Becerra, an amateur from Mexico, in the three-man playoff to secure the top alternate spot.
