Trevino involved with benefit golf tourney for FWJGA’s Conditt
Officials at the Fort Worth Junior Golf Association have scheduled a benefit tournament to help raise money for the health-care costs of former FWJGA director Wendell Conditt. The event, sponsored in part by legendary golfer Lee Trevino, is Nov. 18 at Diamond Oaks Country Club and proceeds will help defray medical expenses for Conditt, a driving force behind the city’s annual junior golf championships for boys and girls since 1972. The format will be a four-person scramble and participants will have an opportunity to play nine holes with Trevino. For more information, call Diamond Oaks at 817-828-8821.
