FIFA World Cup

Here’s where you can watch the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Fort Worth

Watching 2026 FIFA World Cup games will cost you no matter what — whether it’s spending $500 on a ticket, purchasing a FOX One subscription or buying beers to watch at a sports bar.

All World Cup games will be streamed both live and on demand on FOX One. A FOX One subscription costs $19.99 a month, or $199.99 per year. The average monthly cable subscription bundle is $187.99, as of January 2025, according to the latest data from JD Power.

But that’s the thing: People don’t want to purchase cable or a single streaming service just for one sporting event they may tune into once a year. So, they resort to local bars to mooch off their TVs.

But that’s the other thing: Local establishments can only hope they have the correct channels for paying customers. Sports bars have to pay more for each game, since they are streaming in commercial spaces. Buffalo Bros owner Jon Bonnell told the Star-Telegram he estimates it costs around $7,500 per month to stream all sporting events at all three of his bars.

Why some bars aren’t playing FIFA World Cup matches

Sports bars are charged a streaming price based on their hours, operation and vacancy which is determined by a professional.

Some bars opt for cable, but even cable can’t promise every single sporting event.

And there is no loophole. Illegal streaming counts as pirating. So does using a personal (non-commercial) account. Businesses who illegally stream are at risk of a fine between $750 to $150,000, according to the U.S. Copyright Office.

But also, if sports bars don’t stream one of the largest sporting events in the world, they are at risk of losing and/or angering customers.

Where to watch 2026 FIFA World Cup matches in Fort Worth

Buffalo Bros’ hefty monthly streaming bill won’t go to waste: Tickets are available for designated watch parties for each match at Buffalo Bros in Sundance Square.

Rex’s Bar & Grill plans to stream the game on a few of its 60 TVs. If anything, customers will need to ask for a table to sit near a TV with soccer on.

City Works Eatery & Pourhouse confirmed in an email they will have “wall-to-wall match coverage.”

Little Woodrow’s in the West 7th Entertainment District hosts a 400-inch TV and has vowed to show every match in the World Cup tournament, designating themselves as “The Biggest Watchparty HQ.”

Sundance Square also confirmed via email that all 104 matches will play on giant screens in the plaza from June 11 through July 19. Fans can watch for free, and there will be food trucks, bars and DJs.

The Star-Telegram’s Mac Engel suggests a customer’s best bet is to call ahead and ask if the sports bar will be playing your desired game.

Stay tuned for a designated list of Dallas-Fort Worth watch parties.
