Class 4A power Kennedale holds off Terrell in its season opener
Kennedale’s Caden Woodson rushed for 131 yards and two touchdowns, and teammate Jaden Knowles also added a 15-yard touchdown as the Wildcats held off Terrell in a season-opener for the home team Friday at Wildcat Stadium.
Key players: Knowles rushed for 158 yards on 26 carries. Terrell’s Elijah McQueen rushed for 143 yards and scored a touchdown. Jermaine Gardner scored a late touchdown for Terrell, but the 2-point conversion attempt was no good.
Key stat: Kennedale is No. 7 in the Associated Press 4A state poll.
Records: Kennedale 1-0, Terrell 1-1.
