Haslet Eaton rips Denton Braswell in first varsity game for both

The Eagles scored on their first four possessions in school history, never looking back as they routed the Bengals 55-0 Thursday at Northwest ISD Stadium.

Key players: Eaton junior quarterback Riley Taylor rushed for three touchdowns and passed for a fourth — in the first half. Taylor threw for another touchdown in the second half and finished with 220 yards total offense. Eagle running back Titus Swen rushed 15 times for 181 yards and two TDs.

Key stat: While the game was the first varsity contest for both schools, Eaton is a year old and played a junior varsity schedule last season. Braswell opened for classes this week. Neither school has a senior class.
