Dallas-Fort Worth area high school football winners in Week 3 from Lake Worth, Carter-Riverside

Lake Worth’s Brandon Forrest and Isiah Hall were named players of the week and the Fort Worth Carter-Riverside Eagles were named team of the week after their performances in Week 3.

Forrest, offensive POTW, picked up 57% of the votes after a big night in the Bullfrogs’ 56-7 win over FW Western Hills. Forrest accounted for 215 yards and TDs.

Midlothian Heritage RB Cullen Stone came in second at 43% after a 165-yard 1-TD effort vs. Decatur.

Hall was overwhelmingly voted defensive POTW after picking off Western Hills twice with 68 return yards and 5 tackles.

Carter-Riverside was team of the week with 69% of the votes after the Eagles beat Crowley Atlas for their first win since 2017, snapping a 27-game losing streak. It was also the first win for new head coach Philip Murray.
