Which Dallas-Fort Worth teams will begin the season with a win?

Here is a look at the DFW Class 4A/Others Top 10 for Week 1:

1. Argyle (Last season, 13-1): The Eagles are ranked No. 2 in the Dave Campbell’s Class 4A D1 state rankings. They return 14 starters from last fall’s state quarterfinal team, including RB Tito Byce (815 yards, 9 TDs), WR Cole Kirkpatrick (1,695 yards, 29 TDs) and TE/DL Jasper Lott (3 stars, 17 offers). First game vs. Decatur 8/28

2. Grandview (15-1): The Zebras enter 2020 as the two-time defending Class 3A D1 state champs and with 12 starters back, the program will look for a three-peat. It starts with two-way star Dane Jentsch, who plays quarterback and safety (3,349 passing, 34 TDs; 1,028 rushing, 15 TDs; 71 tackles, 8 INTs). Jentsch has been voted state title game offensive and defensive MVP in both seasons. First game vs. Malakoff 8/28

3. Fort Worth All Saints (5-5): After back-to-back subpar seasons, the Saints look locked in for a deep playoff run. The Saints have one of the top offensive lines in the country, led by twin seniors Tommy and James Brockermeyer (Alabama commits), the No. 1 tackle and No. 1 center in the Class of 2021. QB Hampton Fay (Michigan State) and RB Montaye Dawson (SMU) have the potential for big seasons. First game vs. Plano Prestonwood 10/2

4. Nolan Catholic (12-1): The Vikings return 12 starters from a season ago, including Louisiana Tech commit J’Dan Burnett (14 1/2 sacks), whose among the area’s top defenders, QB Jimmy Taylor (Cornell), WR Irene Ngabonziza (Villanova) and RB Emeka Megwa (1,786 yards, 27 TDs), one of the top running backs in the country. He’s also ranked as the No. 1 Fort Worth-area RB. First game at Duncanville 9/25

5. Brock (12-3): The Eagles are among the most experienced in Class 3A with 15 returning starters. The defense is led by DE/LB Brett Drillette (Louisiana-Monroe) and FS Luke Dillingham. The passing game may be a bigger feature this season for Brock, but don’t count out the run with RB Cash Jones (2,678 yards, 35 TDs). The Eagles are ranked No. 1 in the Dave Campbell’s Class 3A D1 state rankings. First game vs. Bushland at Iowa Park 8/28

6. Pottsboro (15-1): The Cardinals made the trip to the state title game for the first time in program history. Coach Matt Poe will look to build off their success with 10 returning starters. It starts with QB Braden Plyler, who accounted for over 3,700 yards and 50 TDs. The Cardinals are ranked No. 3 in the Dave Campbell’s Class 3A D1 state rankings. First game at Nevada Community 8/28

7. Gunter (15-1): The Tigers won their second state championship in four years. They return seven starters, four on offense and three on defense, including QB Hut Graham and LB Mitchell Brewer. The Tigers are ranked No. 1 in the Dave Campbell’s Class 3A D2 state rankings. First game at Van Alstyne 8/28

8. Dallas Parish Episcopal (12-1): The Panthers won the TAPPS D1 state title last season. QB Preston Stone (SMU) returns after accounting for 4,500 yards and 48 TDs. The 4-star senior is ranked as the No. 5 dual-threat quarterback in the country by 247Sports. Be on the lookout for Christian Benson, who can run and catch, and LB Kenneth Borders (129 tackles). First game at Dallas Bishop Lynch 9/25

9. Decatur (12-1): The Eagles return nine starters from last year’s regional team, four on offense. They will be led by WR David Juarez and a strong offensive line. Defensively, the Eagles wil rely on tackling machines, FS Jackson Carroll (156 tackles) and LB Landry Phipps (124 tackles). First game at Argyle 8/28

10. Midlothian Heritage (9-5): The Panthers reached the state quarterfinals for the first time in program history. They return 11 starters, including six on defense, led by LB Noah Gray (135 tackles) and DE D’Angelo Freeman (14 sacks). Offensively, look out for WR Haydon Wiginton and RBs Latray Miller and Cullen Stone. First game vs. Wichita Falls Hirschi 8/28
