North Crowley all-Fort Worth area safety picks New Mexico over Kansas, Illinois State

North Crowley 2021 defensive back Ronald Wilson announced his commitment to the University of New Mexico via Twitter on Friday.

He picked New Mexico over other offers from Kansas and Illinois State.

“I would like to thank God for waking me up every morning and giving me the ability to play the game I love,” Wilson said in a tweet while thanking family, coaches and teammates.

Wilson was a second-team all-district safety last season when he recorded 98 tackles, seven interceptions and six forced fumbles. He was also selected second team defense on the Star-Telegram all-area team.

“Congrats LoLo. Now let’s continue to build a forever lasting legacy at NC and continue to show the LOBOS what kind of player they are getting,” said the North Crowley football Twitter page.
