Arlington 4-star CB Jahari Rogers, who chose Florida over Texas, Georgia, signs NLI
Arlington 4-star cornerback Jahari Rogers signed his national letter of intent with the University of Florida on Wednesday during the early signing period.
Rogers committed to Florida on July 15 over Texas and Georgia.
Overall, the 6-foot prospect received 32 offers, 24 from a Power Five school.
Rogers, who will enroll at UF in January, posted 33 tackles and 7 pass deflections in the regular season as the Colts went 7-3. Arlington went on to play in the 6A Division II regional round and ended with a 9-4 record.
In three years, Rogers’ teams went a combined 30-8, including 11-1 in 2018, when Rogers was a 6A all-state selection at quarterback. He finished with 3,500 yards total offense and 46 touchdowns.
Rogers moved to cornerback primarily this season, a first at the varsity level, in an effort to better his skills for college. This included the state 7-on-7 tournament in College Station over the summer. He was voted first-team all-district.
Rogers, who also participated in The Opening Finals in Frisco during the summer, is ranked as the No. 7 CB in the nation and No. 16 overall prospect in the state, according to 247Sports.
He’s the 120th ranked high school football player in the country.
Arlington WR Charles Brown also signed his NLI on Wednesday with Montana State. He was a 6A all-state nomination with 47 catches, 1,083 yards and 13 TDs.
