Dallas-Fort Worth high school football winners in semifinals from Pottsboro, Gunter
Pottsboro’s Braden Plyler and Tyler Farris and the Gunter Tigers are the latest DFW football winners from the state semifinals.
Plyler, who was voted offensive player of the week, accounted for over 300 yards and 3 TDs as the Cardinals beat Brock, 36-35 to reach state for the first time.
Farris, defensive player of the week, recorded the game-sealing INT in the end zone with under a minute left.
Gunter is team of the week after the Tigers beat Canadian, 27-20, to reach state for the third time in four years.
