Dallas-Fort Worth football winners in fourth round from Brock and Rockwall
Brock’s Cash Jones, Rockwall’s Tyler Ashworth and the Rockwall Yellowjackets were voted DFW football winners from the fourth round of the playoffs.
Jones was voted offensive POTW after receiving 35% of the votes. He helped the Eagles to a 31-21 victory over Pilot Point, where he rushed for 221 yards and one TD.
Brock will play Pottsboro in the state semis on Thursday.
Rockwall quarterback Braedyn Locke came in second with 29%. He threw for 443 yards and 6 TDs in a win over Prosper.
Ryan running back Emani Bailey came in third with a school record 275 yards rushing vs. Tascosa.
Ashworth was voted defensive POTW with 84%. He made 13 tackles and deflected two passes vs Prosper.
The Yellowjackets were voted team of the week with 83%. They advanced to the semis for the first time since 1987 and play Duncanville on Saturday at McKinney ISD Stadium.
