Dallas-Fort Worth high school football winners in regional round from Dallas Parish and Prosper
Prosper’s Jackson Berry, Dallas Parish’s Kenneth Borders and the Prosper Eagles were voted the latest DFW football winners from the regional round.
Berry, Prosper QB, was voted offensive player of the week as he helped the Eagles beat The Woodlands. Berry threw for 312 yards and accounted for four total touchdowns.
Berry, who received 52 percent of the votes, has now accounted for 807 yards passing and 11 total TDs through three playoff games.
Southlake Carroll WR Brady Boyd came in second place with 38 percent with nine catches, 170 yards and a touchdown vs. Midland Lee
Borders was voted defensive player of the week with 55 percent. He made 17 tackles in a TAPPS semifinal win over Houston St. Thomas. Parish advances to the TAPPS D1 state championship game.
Prosper’s Aidan Siano came in second place with 42 percent with 12 tackles, 1 sack and 1 interception against The Woodlands.
The Eagles were voted team of the week after taking down The Woodlands to advance to the state quarterfinals for the first time since 2009 when the program was a Class 3A team.
