Diamond Hill-Jarvis has now won two games in a row to begin the 2018 season after entering the season with a 77-game losing streak.

DHJ picked up its second win with a commanding 43-14 win over North Dallas at Scarborough-Handley Field on Friday.

The Diamond Hill offense moved the ball steadily all night and used a balanced attack lead by quarterback Adrian Gutierrez to charge ahead for the victory.  North Dallas didn’t manage much of a ground game but took advantage of some big plays to get on the board.

Game was over when: Eagles linebacker Kameron Kimble intercepted a pass and ran it back 40 yards for a touchdown in the first half.

Play of the game: Bulldog quarterback Trenton Heard connected with wide receiver Jah’Ques Shelvy on a 73-yard pass for a touchdown.

Offensive Player of the game: Gutierrez threw for 175 yards and 1 touchdown.

Defensive Player of the game: Kimble with an INT returned for a touchdown.

Moment of the game: When Gutierrez completed a 57 yard pass to Alex Gonzalez to set up a touchdown.

Big Picture outlook:  Diamond Hill is 2-0 for the first time in a long time.

Up next: Diamond Hill plays North Side and North Dallas plays Carter Riverside.
